seizure“It was one of the most awful things I have seen,” Renee Webb, shelter manager at the Fond du Lac Humane Society, said of conditions at Howl’n Wind Siberians in Friendship, Wisconsin.

Shelter volunteers and employees worked in cooperation with the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s office deputies to remove 68 dogs and 60 goats from the property on Thursday. According to Webb the dogs were starving, one was missing a foot, and others were missing their ears.

Now the hard work begins as rescuers search for foster and adoptive homes while healing the sick and injured dogs in their care. The Humane Society has issued a plea for donations, and the first priority is food. If you are able to donate, or to foster or adopt a dog, please contact the Fond du Lac Humane Society at 652 Triangle Road Fond du Lac, WI 54935. Phone: (920) 922-8873.
