San Francisco natives Will Chen and Deb Feng founded P.L.A.Y. when they were unable to find the perfect bed for their pug, Momo. With a mission to redefine the pet bed experience, they created beds that are not only comfortable for your pet, but stylish for you and better for our planet.
Partnering with San Francisco artist, Dave Collins, Will and Deb created two lines of products that hit all points of Momo’s compass – comfortable, unique, cost-effective, and earth-friendly – in the Artist and Original collections for 2011.
Paying close attention to detail, P.L.A.Y. truly stands out in the crowd.
- Each design is individually sketched and comped with every top and side graphic individually produced. This is a painstaking process compared to the traditional ‘repeating pattern’ pet beds.
- The beds are filled with P.L.A.Y.’s trademarked Planet Fill™ soft filling, which is made from 100 percent post-consumer; certified-safe recycled plastic bottles. (There are 92 recycled bottles in each large round bed!)
- The inserts and covers are all 100 percent machine washable. We know how pups can get a little stinky at times!

We subjected our new P.L.A.Y. bed to rigorous testing by house slacker Lab Sola, and early results are restful and full-on comfy. This is all the approval we need!
