The shelter is having a special event this weekend to coincide with Father’s Day, where all dogs at the shelter seven months old and older are only $18!
“The first dog recovered completely after using the wheelchair, which gave me a lot of confidence,” said Chieh. After that, he just kept going.
“I told Rocco that I had a gift for him. When I called him to the front yard and he saw his friend Jack, I felt he was reborn. He kept saying, ‘I knew it.'”
They both may be down a limb, but they more than make up for it with their indomitable spirit!
