Duke is a 9-year-old, pure breed Australian Shepherd. He was owned by an older man who failed to socialize him properly, and used him to breed to make money.
Back in 2013, Duck went missing from home and no one thought to see him ever again. As luck would have it, a total stranger would bring him home once again.
“I will do whatever it takes to see that those responsible are held accountable for the condition this animal is in,” said Sheriff Jones.
“A woman happened to stop by an event we had. Her husband had been wanting a dog for 22 years, however the woman didn’t think the same – until she met Duke.”
“Over the past month our boy has blossomed – he knows no strangers – everyone he meets instantly falls in love with his adorable face and floppy ears.”
