Vetstreet announced the top 10 names for male and female puppies for 2014 at the beginning of December.
Vetstreet combed through their database of 969,517 registered names of puppies born since January 1, 2014 and determined what the top 10 male and female puppy names of the year are.
Max and Bella take the top spots for the second year in a row. Bella is also the top female kitten name, and owes its popularity to the character from the Twilight series of books and movies. Max has been the most popular name for male puppies for the past nine years, and most of the top names have remained pretty close to their positions for 2013.
