Drivers on California’s busy 210 Freeway had to become dog rescuers this past Saturday, when two dogs decided to sprint along side traffic. They were finally rescued by the 210 to 605 transition in Azusa, and thankfully, no one was hurt.
A German shepherd and boxer mix were the culprits. Their run covered more than a lie of the busy freeway, and many motorists tried to help, including Rochelle Vargas. She and another motorist were the ones to finally get the dogs off the road and to safety.
“They were just on the freeway, don’t know how they got there,” Rochelle Vargas said. Â “I just had to stop and save them.”
The dogs were taken to a local animal shelter, where it was discovered that one of the two dogs did have a collar on. It is not known as of the time of this article if the dogs were claimed by anyone.
