“The biggest thing that she’s taught me is to live in the moment. Despite everything that she’s gone through she’s allowed me into her life.”

He was an addict. She was nearly put down – twice. But PJ saved Clove, and she saved him in return. Now they are taking every day as it comes and loving the adventurous life they’ve built for themselves.
A warrior on the brink of Greatness. You escaped a life of torture, neglect, and abuse by the hand of a monster. You dodged death at a kill shelter twice. Traveling 2,000 miles north with the hope of a new life, crossing paths with me when I needed you most. These 4 years it has become my duty to give you my absolute all. You have given me more than I could ever dream. #nationalpuppyday
We took a similar photo yesterday at this exact spot on my 5th year sober anniversary last year. It was our first Catskill peak! Many, many, many miles and mountains later I’ll be experiencing my 6th year on 4/10/17, which falls on a Monday. ALSO, it’s Clove’s 6th birthday! The following weekend will be a celebration of big mountains and big miles. I’d celebrate the weekend before, but as any recovering addict/alcoholic knows you should never jump the gun! Haha. The only guarantee you have is today.
