“Their day has finally come!! Kyra and Delaware have been adopted and have found a furever home together,” reads the post on Friends of Fulton County Animal Services.  “This is a very happy day here at FCAS! They are going to be some very spoiled babies! So many people have been fighting for these two and it has paid off. Sharing saves lives… Happy tails, sweet girls!!”

“Please continue sharing for Manny and Typhoon and all of the others here that also need a new family to love.”

Manny and Typhoon skyrocketed to fame months ago when images of them hugging one another in comfort went viral on FB. We had inquiries from all over asking how these dogs were doing, but sadly, no one came to rescue or adopt them.

If you would like to adopt this wonderful bonded pair and live near the Atlanta area, please email Fulton County Animal Services, call them at 404-613-0358, or click here.

If you’d like to give these dogs a home but live too far away, just remember, there are plenty of animals in your area without an interesting story that need homes, too.

Little Manny is just a big baby. Like many puppies, this boy is high energy and needs someone to spend time with him and teach him proper behavior.  Manny will make a great companion for many, many years.  Come meet him today.

Typhoon is very fun and playful. He enjoys playing with other dogs and would do well in an active household.  He is eager to please and should learn basic commands quite easily.

  1. I was soo glad to hear these beauties got adopted together and hopefully they are loved and cared for for ever. I had never heard about Typhoon and Manny….I just happened to scroll down and I thought they were to the two Pitty brothers that got adopted in Philly but then I read their names and know it was a different story. It is such a damn shame that shelters make it hard on the dogs to get adopted if you live out of state….it should be away to get the dogs to a loving and forever home where the people are that want to love and care for the dogs. With all of the rescues across the country there should be away that they work together to get dogs adopted by whomever regardless of where the person lives. This doesn’t help the dogs because, evidently there is no one in that state that want’s to adopt them so why restrict the poor dogs to a state that there is no adopter or foster coming forward before the dog is pts. This really needs to stop!!!! There are people across the US willing to transport dogs across the US for dogs to their new families and rescues like this and Chicago and others will not allow out of state adoptions. So sad for the beautiful animals left behind….

    1. You are so right, however, there are exceptions to everything. So if you are willing to give them a forever home & foot the bill for transport, I’m sure something can be worked out.

  2. awesome! I hope that someone takes the other two together- I’m just so glad to see that they are still on this planet.

  3. Thank you for the update and so happy for Kyra and Delaware. If I didn’t already have 2 dogs of my own, I would love Manny and Typhoon. I just adopted my 2nd dog a year ago, he was from a shelter in Toronto, Canada. A rescue group saved him from euthanasia and placed him on Pet Finder. I wasn’t planning to adopt another dog as my girl at home was already expensive (she’s a bulldog), but I fell in love with my guy. I completed the application, had 2 phone interviews and during the home check 2 girls volunteered to drive him from Toronto to NYC. 8 hour drive! They first did the home check and we passed and next was the temperament test with my dog. They failed, but the rescue said give it 2 months and if they don’t get along we can pick him up. It was difficult to separate them with baby gates, but after 3 weeks, they kissed and cuddled. And after 2 months we adopted our 2nd baby and the rest is history!

  4. Well, that is a nice story, and its GREAT that they were able to stay together, I hope it works out for them all, but, ah hem, they are Pit Bulls? Scare me to death!

    1. It is people like you that saying stuff like that is why so many sweet Pit Bulls are killed. Should not speak if you don’t have any facts about this breed. You also have to hide behind anonymous because you know your wrong. I am a Pit Bull Guardian and look I’m still alive to type this.It amazes me how many ignorant people are in this world. I am more afraid of peoples stupidity than a dog.

  5. This is something heart touching love story of lovely dog couple. I am happy for them. They wish they stay together happily forever. Thanks for updating lovely information.
