A badly wounded dog, dripping blood and covered in maggots, went down into a basement in India and just waited to die. But the amazing volunteers with Rescue Aid Unlimited arrived in time to save his life.
The dog had suffered long enough, and just wanted his pain to end when he sought shelter in a shop cellar. The stench of necrotic tissue alerted the shopkeepers to his presence. They knew just who to call.
After gingerly carrying him out of the shop, the dedicated staff of Rescue Aid Unlimited, India brought him back to their sanctuary for treatment. They sprinkled some antiseptic powder on the gaping head wound and bandaged him up.
On the second day, they thoroughly flushed out the gouge and re-bandaged him. The team did this daily, and after nine weeks, Jerry became a different dog.
His wounds have completely healed. He is tender and sweet, and loves being gently loved.

You are amazing in curing the dog!
A million thanks for saving Jerry.
It’s a shame that really nice people like this dont’ rule the world.
God gave us these precious souls, so we could become better ourselves. Thank you
Amazing people and a very lucky dog!!
I grew up in India and now living in the US for many years. I understood value of a dog after arriving here. A dog or a cat is a family member here!
The dog in the video most likely was bitten by another dog during a territorial fight. When 2 stray dogs fight they try to grab ears of each other and this is the only place where a dog’s tongue cannot reach. So if it is a severe wound, this is what happens to the dog.
When I was a kid, every time I had any injury my dad used a natural item on my wound. Apply the paste of that natural item on my wound one & the last time and it will come off only after the wound is healed. When I was a kid, once a dog with a similar injury as the one in the video came near our apartment. It was in a corner and wanted some peace. My dad saw it and he knew what to do. He took a big bowl of water and added that natural item into it. He went to the dog and quickly poured the whole bowl on to the dog’s wound. Initially it burns so my dad knew that he will have to do it very quickly before the dog starts running. Sure enough, as soon as he poured it, the dog started running but after some time he settled down. A few months down the road, we saw the dogs wound completely healed and he was happy again. When I grew up, I did the similar thing to one another dog.
I am really amazed how dedicated these people in the video are! I remember it smelled so bad that going within 10 feet was difficult for us.
That said, some portion of my charity fund for animals will go to this charity.
