Hello and good day to our of our Life With Dogs readers.  We hope you’re having a great day today, and we have another LWD Adoptable Dog of the Day for your consideration.  Her name is Alexa, and she is about one year old.  Alexa had been rescued when she was only about six months old and had a terrible case of mange.  Thanks to Rescue Dogs Rock NYC, her mange is healing up nicely and she’s on the hunt for a new forever family.

Alexa was rescued from a shelter in Dallas, Texas at 6 months old and with a severe case of mange.  Her rescuers got her to medical assistance, and it’s been a long road and has required a lot of care, but she’s feeling much better now.  She’s expected to make a full recovery, and other than being provided lots and lots of love, there shouldn’t be any after-care required.

She’s described as a bit shy at first, but when she warms up to you she’s quite the cuddle doggy.  She does well with people of all ages, and is also good with other dogs as well.  When she does get adopted, she’ll be 100% up-to-date on her shots and will also be spayed.  At the moment, she’s still with her medical staff, but wouldn’t it be great if she had a forever family ready to go when she gets back to the shelter?  We think so!
