Alvin is never seen without at least one of his many tennis balls.  According to his rescuers, the Franklin County Dog Shelter, a tennis ball is actually more like a comedian’s prop than a toy, because Alvin LOVES to make people laugh.  His big, he’s sweet and he’s overflowing with love.  Could Alvin be the dog you and your family have been waiting for?

As mentioned, Alvin is with the Franklin County Dog Shelter in Columbus, Ohio.  He’s about four years old, and comes in at a hefty 68 pounds!  Yes, Alvin is most certainly a large dog, but that just means that there’s more of him to love.  The staff at Franklin describe him as a “high-energy” dog, so he’ll definitely need a high-energy human to keep up with him.

Alvin is a shelter favorite, and the staff there think he’d make an excellent addition to just about any family.  He’s been around younger kids, but is still very easily excited.  It may be best for him to be around older kids.  He’s also very good with other dogs, but cats aren’t really Alvin’s favorite.  He’s fully up-to-date on all of his shots, and is neutered.
