7.19.16 - Bat Puppies With Parvo Rescued From a Box1

Two baby bat-looking puppies have barely been around long enough to have their lives wind up so turning out so badly.  They were heartlessly plunked in a box and left to bake to death in a hot alley in Chicago.  Even worse, since they were rescued it was discovered they have Parvo, which can often be fatal.  However, they have been taken in by the Trio Animal Foundation, who is doing everything they can to save them.

This comes from the dedicated team at Trio Animal Foundation:

FOUND IN A BOX IN A HOT CHICAGO ALLEY, THESE TWO PUPPIES ARE FIGHTING FOR THEIR LIVES AT THE EMERGENCY VET…

TAF received a call about two puppies that had been abandoned in a box and left in a hot Chicago alley. Upon getting the brother and sister to our vet, we realized that they needed to be transferred to the ER Vet to receive IV fluids and around the clock supportive care. We have now received a call that both puppies tested positive for the parvo virus. This is pretty much the worst news possible.

We would like to give these puppies a fighting chance and do all that we can for them. The medical bills for the first 24 hours will be over $2,000. If you would like to help TAF give these puppies a fighting chance, please consider making a donation online.

If you would like to help sponsor our parvo puppies medical care, please consider making a donation at www.trioanimalfoundation.org. You can earmark your donation ‘parvo puppies.” If you are making a donation via a smartphone and are not given the opportunity to earmark your donation, please forward your receipt confirmation to [email protected].

We will be able to see the puppies in isolation tomorrow and provide updated photos and medical information.

We haven’t named the puppies yet as everything happened so fast. Their names will be posted with their update on Wednesday. In the meantime, please keep this pair in your thoughts and prayers.
