Book Giveaway: Harley, The Throwaway Puppy

A children’s picture book based on the true story of a mixed breed dog who became an agility champion, Harley, The Throwaway Puppy, follows her from life at the shelter to her first agility competition.

Harley’s story has a lesson for all of us — that we can overcome setbacks and challenges, poor starts, and bumps along the road if we have the love and support of our family and friends, just as Harley did.  She has many agility titles, but even if she had never won a thing, she was a champion in her family’s eyes.  This is a story of the love of a family for a dog, and each purchase of this book supports animal rescue charities.

Watercolor illustrations by the author accompany the text.  Harley began her life as an abandoned puppy, who lingered at a shelter for many weeks until a young couple came along who believed in her.  The picture book has 22 full color pages and can be enjoyed by ages three and up.

Join Harley’s fans on Facebook at www.facebook.com/HarleyThrowawayPuppy or at www.grizzliebooks.com.  Harley is currently competing for her AKC agility MACH (Master Agility Champion) title; she will one of the first mixed breed dogs to achieve this distinction.

  1. Lokks like a great book, sadly I cannot win living just hours north of the US. It’s ok, I subscribed anyway because I love your posts on fb so I know I will love your emails.

Guess I will check my local bookstore, with sale providing donations towards animal shetlers I don’t mind shelling out the loonies and toonies for it 🙂
