Dog Causes Driver to Crash into Hydrant

A dog got its driver into trouble when it took the wheel and caused the vehicle to strike a fire hydrant in Morris, Illinios last week.

shutterstock 58674565Cecelia Fowler, 57, was driving west on Johnson Avenue with her dog seated in her lap, and as she entered the intersection at Gladys Avenue, the dog stood on the steering wheel, causing Fowler to swerve and drive off the road, striking a fire hydrant in the process.

The force of the impact left the hydrant broken off at the base. Fowler’s vehicle was towed from the scene.
