Giveaway: Fine Art Print from Artist Lara Harris

Life With Dogs is reader-supported. We may earn a small commission through products purchased using links on this page.

My name is Lara Harris and I am a primarily self-taught artist from Michigan.  I never actually thought I could paint, but picked up a brush in 2006 and have been hooked ever since. I paint all different subjects, but have become most known for my pet portraits, especially my vintage style portraits.

I grew up with dogs & have always felt a special bond with them and I think that is why I enjoy painting them so much. My work is in private collections all over the world. It is a true blessing to be able to share my gift with others by creating portraits of their special pups that they can cherish for years to come. We recently lost our dog, Taffy, after an 8 month battle against bone cancer, and it has helped so much to have his portrait hanging in our living room to look at each day. It doesn’t bring him back, but it helps to keep his memory alive.

  1. The artist does some really lovely work. I would
enter the giveaway but she doesn’t seem to have any Irish setters in her Etsy shop. 🙂
