The General is home safe — much to his family’s relief!

The Campbell family of Virginia was away on vacation when their 10-year-old Great Pyrenees, General, executed an impressive jailbreak from his boarding facility, then went missing.

“He’s a little Houdini,” owner Travis Campbell told reporters. “When it comes to doors open, he can get a lot of doors open.”

General not only managed to get out of his room at the kennel to roam the animal hospital for two hours, all of which was caught on camera, he eventually opened a door that led outside, then calmy walked off into the evening.

Though found safe in a nearby neighborhood, General was missing for some 15 hours. The Campbells were relieved to get him back.

They say they knew General was clever, but they didn’t know he was this clever.

“I knew that he could open doors and all that, but I didn’t think he would be able to get through the doors of the vet,” said Campbell.
