The hardworking first-responders with Evergreen Fire Rescue in Evergreen, CO, are used to getting rescue calls about hikers. This past weekend, however, the patient stranded on the Maxwell Falls trail — a 5-year-old — was described as dehydrated and hairy, weighing in at 120 pounds.
It was Kato, a Great Pyrenees who, while alert, was stuck about a mile from the trailhead and needed help getting back.
