This gorgeous ball of Shih-Tzu floof is Shadow and she is 10 years young.

A mellow girl (she has settled quite comfortably into her present foster home), Shadow loves to relax and decompress and hopefully will enjoy these low-key activities in a new forever home soon. She’s a South Carolina girl, available through the Columbia-based Pawmetto Lifeline.

Thanks to a grant from the Grey Muzzle Foundation, she’s had a detailed, senior medical work-up to assess and treat her needs.

Shadow is completely blind and has chronic dry-eye in both of her eyes. One has mild glaucoma. They may not work so well, but the vets say she’ll be able to keep them, although they will need to be medicated for the rest of her life.

Despite her total blindness, Shadow is fearless!

She loves to hear her name and adores being touched and cuddles — belly rubs especially!

Those looking for a sweet, loving and mild-mannered companion would adore taking Shadow home for keeps.
