As a way to pay homage to the search and rescue dogs of 9/11, Explore.org has released the following short film which profiles Abby, the last remaining Search Dog Foundation canine who served at Ground Zero.

Debra Tosch, Executive Director of the Search Dog Foundation, was one of the handlers deployed on September 11th, 2001. After 9/11, Debra and Abby deployed to a number of disasters, including Hurricane Katrina and the La Conchita mudslide. Abby now helps train future search dogs.
