Chunky, a Chihuahua mix from England, was stolen from his home in late October by four underage males. The dog endured days of torture and was dumped by abusers, believing the dog was dead. However, the tiny dog clung to life and was found alive by RSPCA rescuers. They saved, nursed back to health, and reunited him with his owners. The teenage animal abusers faced a judge and received punishment.

Itv reports the dog snatchers and abusers ranged in ages from 15 to 16 years old. They held the dog for several days, fed him drugs, punched, kicked, set him on fire, and broke the dog’s leg and neck. After the torture, the criminals believed the dog was dead and tossed him as garbage in Margate, England.

Once found, the dog was rushed to local veterinarians who examined him. Experts say the abuse Chunky endured lasted about six days, but the damage caused took weeks to undo.

“This was the most disturbing case I have ever dealt with – by an absolute mile,” said RSPCA inspector Caroline Doe. “The defendants may have been young and confessed to being under the influence of drugs but the cruelty they inflicted on this poor dog was extreme, barbaric and inexcusable.”

All four teenagers pleaded guilty. Their sentence included getting banned from owning a pet for five years, placed under probation for the next 12 months, and paying fines from $700 to $9,000.

As for Chunky, after weeks of intensive care and rehabilitation, he is back to normal and in the arms of his owners – twin sisters Lisa-Marie and Bonnie-Lee Fittall. Despite the unimaginable pain and abuse the dog experienced during his hell on earth days, he is as happy and friendly as ever.

  2. The authorities all around the wold need to understand that things like what these young people did are indicative of psychological-emotional problems that need to be explored and dealt with by the boys and by trained psychotheraists or these kids are going to turn into worse torturers and eventually killers. The line between what they did an torturing humans, between what they did an thrill killing or serial killing or mass killing is very thin so the authorities NEED to start fixing these boys right now while there’s still time. The punishment they were given does nothing really and these kids will be back to hurting and killing but more thoroughly and sneakily. If the authorities aren’t willing to do this and, obviously, the parents are incapable, then maybe these boys need to be totally and forever removed from society now before it all gets worse. Yes, it’s a hard fact to face.

  3. How about they come to the US to visit? Me and my Louisville Slugger will meet them at the airport and they’ll not trouble any innocent animal (or person) again! How’s that for a deal? You evil, soulless SOB’s really need to be taught a lesson and yes, I’m up for the job! I know that I wouldn’t be alone in my quest for justice for you!
