It has been a rough month or so for celebrities and their beloved dogs, with both John Stamos and Rob Lowe suffering losses.
This week it was Zac Efron who mourned the loss of his Australian shepherd, Puppy.
The “Baywatch,” “Neighbors 2,” and “High School Musical” star id a longtime animal lover, and let fans know via Twitter and Instagram that the dog he’d loved since his adoption in 2011 had crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
“Through thick and thin you’ve always been my best friend. Until we meet again, RIP Puppy Efron,” the actor wrote, alongside a sweet photo of he and Puppy sharing a kiss.
The Tweet came this past Thursday and was later followed by lyrics he quoted from Chance the Rapper’s song, “Finish Line.”
“Through thick and thin you’ve always been my best friend. I’ll see you at the finish line…”
Puppy Efron is survived by his fur siblings, Chappelle and Dreamer. Hopefully these two dogs will help temper the pain of Efron’s loss.
