Good and bad news today.

There has been substantial online buzz about Jim Gorant’s new book, The Lost Dogs. I just saw this book at the library, but I already had a pile of books picked out. I would love a copy of my own to read and pass around.

I’ve read this book, and let me tell you, it is compelling. A warning – the first 75 pages or so are VERY hard to read. So much so that I almost quit reading several times just because it was so painful. But the balance of the book is just incredibly rewarding, so don’t stop reading! I do have some disturbing pictures in my head now that I don’t think I will ever forget, but I still highly recommend this book for anybody who loves dogs.
