Recognize that dog?  😉

I’m very much flattered that Nigel’s likeness has been chosen for the cover of a terrific new e-book that I just finished reading today. The Great Greyhound Book is a wonderful collection of stories, pictures and other snippets of wisdom from Greyhound lovers, and it was created for a wonderful cause.

If you’re not familiar with the picture, it is the work of Jo Campin, a very talented artist who offered to paint it for the book cover: buzz surrounding the painting led to the creation of Flat Nigel 2, a limited run of 50 prints that sold out in a matter of days, raising another nice chunk of change for charity.

Val Charman did a great job of compiling a very diverse collection of material for the project, and if you are a true Greyhound nut like myself, you’re likely to be touched by quite a few of the contributions. There is something really fun about a mix of writing styles and a project that allows for people to write about whatever they would like. It’s great for my crazy busy lifestyle, because it was easy to pick up and resume reading after a couple of hectic days that left no time for literature.

You can grab a copy at the link above if interested, and if you do, I’d love to know what you think of it. Proceeds are earmarked for ten deserving Greyhound adoption organizations, so you can feel great about your purchase. Rumor has it there might even be a few funny Nigel pics in the mix….
