Roo, Blind and Physically Disabled Dog is Cared for by Rescue Group
Roo is sweet golden retriever who gets around hopping on his back legs or wheeling along in his custom cart.
He was rescued by the Golden Retriever Club of Greater Los Angeles Rescue. The group is helping him to overcome his disabilities and to enjoy a good quality of life.
Roo is a 2-year-old boy with the bravest heart and the most invincible personality. He came to us over a year ago, abandoned in a field with his brother who has since been adopted. Roo is blind and his front legs are not properly formed, but this courageous boy does not know anything is wrong. He gets along great on two legs, even learning to climb stairs. He has been fitted with prostheses to protect his elbow and help his posture, and he also has a cart he can get around in. Everyone who meets Roo is charmed by his sweetness and he has had so many people helping with his care. Roo is looking for a special family that will help him to continue to realize his full potential, and that family will be getting a wonderful pup with a huge heart and lots of love to give.
