On March 11, 2014, two French bulldogs went missing from their Chicago home when thieves broke in. It is unknown if the burglars took the two pets or if the canines ran away, but their owners, David Wilk and his husband Charlie Gurion, are desperately looking for their loved fur-kids.

“We’re devastated, these are our kids,” Wilk told NBC Chicago. “It’s too much to handle. I feel like we’ve lost our children right now.”

The break-in happened after 9 a.m. when the homeowners left to get coffee. They returned just two hours later and found most of their electronics along two of their four pets gone.

The couple owns two other Yorkshire Terriers who where running loose in the home, but 9-month-old French bulldog Pierre and 2-year-old Rue were gone.

Pierre is gray and weighs about 20 lbs while Rue’s coloring is white and tan, he weighs approximately 18 lbs., and is deaf.

If anyone has any information on the whereabouts of the pets, please contact Wilk at (815) 603-8177 or [email protected].
