Hey, Washingtonians!

The Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County in Tacoma, WA, is a new grantee for the Grey Muzzle Organization, and they have two super seniors they’d love us to showcase. Please note: THEY ARE NOT A BONDED PAIR!

bear1
Handsome fella Bear.

Bear a big, ol’ handsome mastiff mix is 10. He has lived successfully with another dog of his size, but his feelings about smaller dogs and cats are unknown — so slow and careful introductions over time will be needed. Children should be old enough to respect his age and condition. Lovable Bear is a mellow old soul who just wants a soft place to land — a calm retirement home, if you will.

queen1
Sweet cutie Queen.

Sweet Queen, 7, is a loving and affectionate pibble mix who adores going for walks. She was adopted from the shelter fairly recently, but had to come back because she didn’t get along with the other dog on the property. According to her previous owner, she knows how to sit, stay, and lie down, and she’s crate trained! She’s never lived around kitties and would prefer to be the only pet in your life. She can be a little sensitive about handling, so a home with adults and older kids would be best.
