Ty and Buster, Life with Dogs’ travel correspondents, take you for a stroll around Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.
Buster: Since we’ve been on the west coast, I’ve become a beach bum – nothing makes me as happy as running in the surf with the wind in my ears.
Ty: Ewwwwe – sand in my fur makes my skin crawl.
Buster: Fortunately, Carmel-by-the-Sea has something for all of us!
Ty: Yep, DogMa and DogPa loved walking the streets, admiring the houses and landscaping.
Buster: And, then there’s the beach – completely pet friendly, and oh, so pretty!
Ty: There’s nothing like window shopping at the boutiques, and the dog watching is top-notch. Woof!
Buster: But, your favorite part was all of the pet friendly restaurants. So many choices … so little time!
Ty: It’s true. In fact, we could only find one thing not to like about Carmel. The city park prohibits pets.
Buster: But, with a beach like that – really – who needs a park? Besides, there is a nice selection of pet friendly hotels with plenty of grass to sniff.
