  1. God bless fire fighters, Peter, of course People get saved, it’s the dogs we never hear about and I am so so so glad to see that some of our service men still care about our dogs. I hope protocol is changed so police quit shooting our dogs.

  2. Great story… what I can’t figure out is why the dog was home in the house alone and the family was out of town… regardless.. Happy Ending that their dog survived.. great job by the firefighters working the fire…

  3. So happy for the family and I have to say huge KUDOS to the fire dept for having an a oxygen mask made for animals 🙂

  4. More fire departments need those masks to help animals caught in fires. Such a great story. Love happy endings.

  5. That’s wonderful – very great story! Now put that dog on a serious diet – that weight is hurting her.

  6. thank goodness the dog got out safely. Three cheers for firemen everywhere who risk their lives every day

  7. Horrible owners. How can they leave the dog in the house as they are exiting? If I’m in a house that catches on fire, I bring my dog out with me. The dog should be taken from these degenerates.
