      • Your intelligence is lacking, probably need to work on your pent up anger I suppose you hate babies too.

        • One cannot possibly judge his intellect from that brief post… Many judgements can be made about character, but it is ludicrous to make the claim you have. That suggests you are stupid, ironically. And a sissy a*****e that posits feelings as factual evidence.

          • Wow, this conversation digressed quickly. This whole thread makes me wonder if this is how the Israel problem started. “oh look, a dear and dog hanging out”… “that’s dumb” … “you’re dumb for saying that’s dumb and I’m offended by your idiocy”… *missiles firing* “I declare Jihad on you!”… “pull out the human shields!”

      • sounds bye your stupid post you are or have been sniffing ass idiot I swear what is happening to humanity?

    • Like what, fruitcake? What, exactly, did you ‘learn’ from this that heretofore escaped you? What an utterly meaningless remark masquerading as a mindless platitude.

      • Why are you trying to start something anonymous? You are a horrible person with a mean streak. I don’t care what you say these animals are cute. Yes we have to be careful they are wild animals but these are weird circumstances.

    • This is the most precious film I have ever seen!!!! It truly had me in tears of joy to see that a dog and a deer/fawn could get along so well. We humans could learn a lot from their show of affection!

    • The deer was obviously raised with the dog since its adopted a lot of dog like behaviors. Unfortunately, as sweet as this looks, the deer can never go back to the wild and wont be able to reproduce unless its introduced to another tame deer. The deer is completely dependent on the humans for survival. I don’t know the circumstances of why the deer ended up there but not so sure they did it a favor by removing it form its natural habitat. If the people don’t decide to keep it they will have to ensure it gets adopted to some kind of animal refuge, that specializes in domesticated wildlife. Its kind of sad if that happens. That’s why sometimes its better to leave the animal where it belongs.

      • I agree but what if the animal just showed up and they didn’t take it in but the dog behaved this way that would make it even more special. I agree with you that wild animals should be enjoyed in the wild. I also believe that we need to educate people on this subject.

      • Theirs a documentary on net flix called “odd couples”. They did find the fawn but she came and goes as she pleased and still come back to visit the dog but she does live in the wild with other deer and has had twin fawns. The people made it were she had barely any human contact but the dog and her have a close bond and the deer comes to visit the dog but keeps her babies a distaned away. Its a really cool documentary.

      • Been a shelter volunteer for years, this doesn’t surprise me. I understand the deer needs to live wild so it can sustain. Im glad the homewoners didn’t run off the deer or try to scare it. The relationship between them is great and I hope they have a long life of friendship.

      • I have been around several deer that do this same thing, even come in the house while I’m coming along with the other animals in my life, and every one of then have gone onto have families & live amongst the wilds of nature.
        Deep breath everyone

      • its great the dog looked totally happy to spend time with her, and it makes me smile that there are people like you that instead of going out and shooting her let her live and show that they are not just for meat and game.

      • Hi – you need to watch the documentary on Netflix or similar, which these two animals are part of. The documentary is called “Animal Odd Couples” and yes, the deer does go on to have babies and brings them to the home for her dog friend to meet. The deer was found abandoned on the property as a baby and they took care of her but allowed her to come and go as she pleased. The documentary is amazing. Animals do have feelings and emotions, many of them similar to humans.

  1. Great video. I wonder though, now that they have tamed the deer, how do they keep this deer, who has is roaming wild, from being shot by hunters since it has no fear of humans.

    • I also have raised a baby deer with my yellow lab. they also would sleep on the same bedding and play in the yard. Unfortunately I could not keep him when he got his first set of antlers. He got to playful. He is now in a 5 acre high fenced area where hunters can not shoot him. He is a axis deer and I am waiting for two does for him so he will be happy. He still gets his favorite treats each day.

  2. Since we have taken away their food sources, I see no reason why we shouldn’t show
at least a little kindness and generosity to animals who, knowing we are not their kind, still approach us for help. We owe it to them. Also, a little kindness and help
never hurt anyone, that I know of – there should be a lot more of it.
