Jackson’s previous owners moved away from Miami and left him behind. For months he lived off garbage until a volunteer with Pet Have Rescue came to his rescue. He was in bad shape when he arrived at Pet Haven Rescue.
“It had two different types of giardia, it was filled with hookworms, and it had over 800 ticks on its body,” said Jessica Swerdin.
For the past few weeks he has been receiving the medical treatment and nutrition he needs. He will soon be ready for adoption and is looking for a good home. For more information on adopting Jackson visit Pet Haven Rescue’s website.
