Arabella is a beautiful pit bull that was brought into her current rescue, RAD Rescue, three years ago with her pups.  The pups have all found forever families, but poor Arabella has been waiting for three long years now on her own and very lonely.  She’s a really great dog, she just has a few personality traits that will require a dog parent with a bit more patience.

Let’s see what RAD Rescue has to say about Arabella:

This is beautiful Arabella and she is crate trained, house trained & Canine Good Citizen certified.  Arabella is approximately 5 years old a beautiful brown/white pit bull mix who came into rescue over 3 years ago with her litter of puppies.  Of course all the adorable puppies were adopted and Arabella was left, continuously being passed over time & time again.

Arabella has one flaw – she would prefer to be an only dog & only pet – not that she is dog aggressive, she is just not dog social – she prefers to be a lone wolf.  Despite that, she has plenty of love to give as well as a lifetime of devotion.  She LOVES people and if you give her a Kong or any kind of toy for that matter, she’ll be your best friend for all time to come.

Arabella was pulled by a rescue that is no longer in operation so RAD Rescue has been helping to courtesy post her to get her exposure.  We would love to see this girl in a home where she’ll get all the love and affection she deserves.  She is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and when you meet her, be sure to ask about her wiggle dance – it is quite possibly the cutest thing EVER!!!!

*No cats or small critters, her prey drive is pretty strong.  She does well with all adults & respectful children (small children may not be a great idea as she is a larger girl at about 65lbs).

RAD Rescue pulls some of the harder cases from the Tucson county shelter.  Our primary focus is on seniors, hospice & extreme medical cases.  Occasionally, we take on a strong willed behavior dog depending on open foster home availability.  ALL of our dogs are in foster homes, we do not believe it helps the dog to pull them from the shelter environment to put them back into boarding – so we are extremely selective as to what we pull and we work hard to ensure a proper fit to the home the dogs in our care go to.

Our adoption process includes a home check (mostly checking yard), vet references and a trial period.  Our adoption fees are $95 for seniors (over age 7), $125 for everyone else excluding puppies.  Puppies under 6 months are $250 and INCLUDE a basic puppy obedience class for the adopter.

We are located in Tucson, Arizona & we like to keep our dogs local; however, if a great home is not within our immediate location, we would evaluate the home on a case by case basis.
