Roughly 175 Westies, Boston Terriers, Pomeranians and other small dogs are receiving care and attention at a temporary shelter and their owner is facing cruelty charges after the ASPCA helped law enforcement raid a Hot Springs, Arkansas, puppy mill on November 7.

  1. Will these people banned from every owning any animals here in the United States? I hope so! The U.K. does this. How does someone get to have 175 dogs and no one does any thing about it? The U.S. needs to get serious about stopping the puppy mills. I know that with a little effort the U.S. could do it. It would not take much to stop the crueltly if the authorities would get behind a set of laws aimed specifically at animal abusers and make sure to ban animal abusers from owing any animals ever!

  2. We are way, way behind in legislation against animal abuse in general, and puppy mills in particular. You would think it would be easy points for politicians, but money talks louder.
