serendipityStudents in Belmont, California are raising money for Teddy, a dog that was seriously injured when a suspected drunk driver ran into  and killed his owners.

Last Friday, Balbir and Kamal Singh were walking their Chihuahua  Teddy when a car struck them from behind. The couple was found dead at the scene and Teddy was seriously injured and taken to a veterinarian. He is being treated for a brain injury at the Peninsula Humane Society and SPCA. Although he has swelling in his brain he is making progress and veterinarians believe he will recover.

Students at the Serendipity School wanted to help Teddy and the three children the Singhs left behind.

The children are buying tickets to be able to guess the number candy corn pieces in a jar. The winner will get a prize. All the money raised will go to the Peninsula Humane Society and SPCA.
