Hello, Life With Dogs readers!  We hope that today is a great a day for all of you, just like it is for us!  We have a special, LWD Adoptable Dog of the Day for you today, and her name is Coco.  Coco comes to us from our friends at the Humane Rescue Alliance out of the Washington DC area.  Coco was in need of surgery, but thanks to a donation she’s healthy and ready for adoption!

Let’s let the Humane Rescue Alliance introduce Coco:

Coco is a loving, energetic 4 year old lady.  She had a home but her guardians were moving and sadly she was not invited.  She was born with a physical abnormality of her ureters, which caused her to leak urine and therefore had to wear doggie diapers when inside.  However, thanks to a generous donor, Coco had a very specialized laser surgery at Penn Vet on Feb 28, to correct the problem and hopefully get her out of diapers.

She continues to recover in foster and will be followed up by a specialist at Friendship Animal Hospital in D.C.  She has lived with her temporary foster family for over a year now and fit in beautifully.  She is a champ and totally crate trained!  Her favorite things include: going for runs, walks and hikes, chasing balls, playing tug, any sort of training (she completed a Basic Manners class at HRA and would excel at Canine Nose Work and Agility).

She loves to settle at our feet on her mat with a nice bone.  She is dog selective and can have a rough and tumble play style with some dogs, but gets along well with our 13-year-old family dog.  Coco will be a wonderful companion dog for just the right family.  She’s so special, in fact, that her adoption fee is WAIVED!  To meet this sweetie contact her foster at [email protected].
