We first met accident survivor Cole in February of this year, and a good news update finds him flourishing in his new home.
Struck by a car and left to die on the side of the road, the spirited survivor learned how to walk on two legs, refusing to give in to the injuries that have made his life a struggle for the past year. It was difficult to watch the paralyzed dog dragging himself around, and in February efforts to secure a wheelchair for him had just begun, despite the fact that he had refused to use one.
He’s got that wheelchair now, and just as before, his defiance remains – Cole prefers to rely on his own strength to get around. He is more than happy to lean on his new caretakers for support, however, and in this follow up report from local news affiliate WWLT we meet the dedicated staff of Dag’s House, the remarkable organization responsible for his rescue.
