Dog is Not Happy About Being Called Last for Dinner

Each one of these dogs are showing a great deal of restraint and self control, waiting to be called for dinner individually.  However, one dog is not exactly thrilled about being called last, and man does he show it!

  1. That was cute and funny, but how did he even know that he would be called last. There were about nine left when he turned around to face the other way. I imagine it’s their routine calls. Everyday the same order. A white furry dog even came out of nowhere when it was his turn to get called. As if he already knew his turn was next. Not fair. I would like to see a follow up video where the last dog gets called first. But it would probably confuse them to change the order. Oh well. I’m sure they are loved, well nurtured and cared for. That’s what’s most important.

  2. Yes, cute video. However, the photo on the main news page of a very sad-looking (emotionally and physically) dog had nothing to do with the dogs in the video. Who the heck picked that one to use!? Hopefully, not the author.

  3. I know she think this is funny but essentially this dog feels less loved than the others. Not funny at all. She should mix up the order and then that teaches restraint without creating emotional issues.

    • Not true. Dogs are pack animals and like structure. Doling out dinner the same way, every day makes a dog feel secure. Dogs do not sit around and worry about who is loved more; that is a human problem, not a dog one.

  4. At the 0:16 mark, the soon to be last dog turns his head toward the back fence. He then gets up and turns around to sit down and stare at the back fence. Clearly something has attracted his attention so he did not hear his name called the first time. Sheesh.

    • I agree. Something else attracted the dogs attention. It wasn’t that he/she was turning its back at being called last. Pathetic the things some people will go to to get attention. And like someone else said, the dogs are probably used to being called in the exact same order every day, so this is no big deal.
And yeah, showing the picture of an emaciated dog as the lead in to this story, sheer stupidity.

  5. @Mary,
True. Something captured the dog’s attention. We find it cute, laughable and forgiving in a pet to behave like a human, while others may make the pet’s life miserable to teach it a lesson. Let us not project our human emotional baggage onto our pets.
