A Good Samaritan came to the aid of a nearly blind dog that became stuck in a storm drain on Wednesday in Frisco, Texas.

Elizabeth Nunn’s dog Rocky went missing on Tuesday and both she and her husband were very worried. Not only was Rocky ten-years-old and almost completely deaf and blind, but earlier in the week they had spotted a bobcat in the neighborhood. They quickly got the word out about their missing Pomeranian.

“I was devastated,” said Nunn. “I knocked on everybody’s door – this whole neighborhood.”

On Wednesday, barks were finally heard. A family in the neighborhood was out for a walk when they heard the barking and it led them to the storm drain where Rocky had become stuck. They alerted Nunn who immediately called for help. However, before the authorities could arrive another hero arrived on the scene.

Mike Stoll, an air conditioning technician, was on his way home from work when he came across a frantic Nunn and he neighbors. He didn’t hesitate to help out. Stoll opened the storm drain, climbed in and pulled Rocky out safely.

Rocky was unharmed, though a little dirty. Nunn was so grateful to Stoll and took a picture of Rocky with Stoll so that Rocky’s hero wouldn’t be forgotten.
