Folks at the Prairie Paws Animal Shelter in Ottawa, KS, just love Lulu — and they know the lucky family who adopts her will, too.

She’s a very sweet, senior bluetick coonhound (estimated to be about 10) who came in as a transfer when another shelter was at capacity, but her capacity for love and affection is endless, as you’ll see in the above video. A grant from the Grey Muzzle Organization made her stay here possible.

This lovely lady is looking for love; she just hasn’t found the right place yet.

This silver senior would enjoy a suburban lawn or out runnin’ the field on the farm. Just as long as she has good folks to watch out for her, she’ll be in seventh heaven! She can be a bit vocal (like most Coonhounds), but she’s just calling out for attention. She’s pretty independent, but does like the company of other dogs, supervision with cats is recommended.

Lulu’s adoption fee has been partially sponsored thanks to the kind souls at the Best Friends Society. Her remaining adoption fee is $75 and that includes a medical exam, sterilization, age appropriate vaccines, dewormer, heartworm test and microchip!

Won’t you come in and give beautiful Lulu a look, she’s howling to meet you!

The shelter is open to the public: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 11-6 and Saturday from 11-4. If you are interested in Lulu, please either email Prairie Paws Animal Shelter at [email protected] for an application, visit the website, or call 785.242.2967 for more information.
