A street dog became famous after she was photographed while living on the streets. Her image was turned into a meme and it went viral. Since then, the dog was rescued, nursed back to health and placed in a forever home. You won’t believe how well the former street dog is doing today.
Meet Vodka, a homeless dog from the streets of Tucumán, México. The female stray was photograph with a loaf of bread between her paws as she ate it. That sad image was made into a Spanish meme that read: “I know you won’t hit Like because I am not pure bred,” and the dog’s life changed right after that photograph.
A group of animal lovers found the dog on the streets, rescued her and took her to an animal shelter. No one knew what her life was like but based on her appearance they imagined it had not been an easy one.
Vodka spent a few months in the shelter while she was nursed back to health. Once she was healthy enough she was placed for adoption and a loving family fell in love with her and took her home.
She now lives happily with her new family and loves to be around her human baby brother. Vodka’s new forever family says they love to have her around and they are making sure she never ends up back on the streets fending for herself.
The former stray is no longer skin and bones, she wags her tail all the time and has nothing to worry about.
