Police in Santa Cruz, California are seeking a suspect who robbed a 62-year-old woman while she was walking her dog.
They say the perpetrator approached the woman Thursday morning and told her he would kick her dog if she didn’t hand over everything she had. Officers responded to a report of a strong arm robbery at the 100 block of Dakota Avenue, where the woman said a man in his late teens or early twenties was responsible for the crime. When he told her to cough up her valuables, she handed him a bag and he ran.
The bag was full of dog poop.
The suspect is described as a young white male, 5’10 and 160 lbs. He was wearing a black sweatshirt and blue jeans. If you have any information regarding his whereabouts, please call the Santa Cruz Police department at (831) 420-5800.
