The Department of Veterans Affairs says that soldiers returning from war face increased risks of depression, anger management issues, substance abuse, and that 10-18% will be afflicted with post traumatic stress disorder when they come home.

The newly constructed Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Facility in Marion, IL aims to put a substantial dent in those statistics. A unique program designed to help veterans reduce stress and regain confidence will be offered when the center opens its doors later this summer, and when it does, a newly hired staff member will be ready to offer support to those who need it most.

A dog named Teddy will be their rock, their friend, and on some level, their therapist.
