Tanker is a sweet puppy that has been through a lot recently.  He was surrendered to the Stateboro Humane Society in Georgia, after being let at a vet’s office.  He had been attacked by another dog, and was left in terrible physical condition.  The humane society there has set up a special GoFundMe campaign, and they’re asking for some of our help.

Let’s see what they have to say about Tanker:

*URGENT* We need your help! We want to introduce you to Tanker, our newest rescue. He is a 10 week old puppy who is struggling right now. He was recently attacked by another dog and suffered puncture wounds to his lungs as well as broken ribs. He is currently fighting fluid build-up in his lungs and Best Friends Animal Hospital has been working hard all afternoon to keep the fluids drained. He is currently on oxygen and may have to receive a chest tube in the morning if he does not get any better.

All of this adds up as the procedures are extremely expensive. We are asking you to please consider giving towards Tanker’s vet bills. If you feel inclined to help out please contact Best Friends Animal Hospital directly at 912-764-7387 and let them know you would like to help cover some of his bills. He is listed as “Tanker” and is under the Humane Society of Statesboro’s bill. We appreciate all of your support.

We are a rescue that is run fully by volunteers. We do not have a physical location so all of our animals are put in foster care with the support of our community. To adopt, we require an adoption application and fee and adopt within the Bulloch County area. We can make exceptions to this in personal arrangements are made.
