Rosie is a two-and-a-half-year-old English pointer that has been with Chicagoland Dog Rescue since April.  That doesn’t seem that long to most people, but they are a shelter-less rescue, which means almost all of our dogs are in foster homes being socialized and getting used to having a “normal” home.

Beautiful Rosie came to them as a rescue mom with pups.  All of the pups have found forever homes, but poor Rosie still waits.  She deserves a forever home just as much as any other dog, and all Chichgoland Dog Rescue wants for her is to FINALLY have that.

Let’s let Rosie introduce herself:

“Hi my name is Rosie.  I got this name because I am as pretty and sweet as the first rose of summer.  I am a 2.5 year old English Pointer weighing in at about 35 pounds. (I’m currently on the skinny side!) I am crate trained and am working on house manners as I spent a lot of time outside.

I was an owner give up because they had too many dogs.  Now, I am looking for a home where I can be an only dog.  I have a lot of energy and love to run, so I would be a great running partner but a big back yard with a tall fence (6+ft) would be wonderful.

I LOVE kids but HATE cats.  Cats resemble squirrels too much and I’ve already made a vow to capture every squirrel in the neighborhood.  Hope to meet you soon!”

She really is a sweet girl and gets along really well with kids.  The 6+ft fence is a must as well because as mentioned above, she tries to get every squirrel (or cat) in the line of sight.

Our adoption fee for Rosie would be $250.  One of the distinguishing features of Chicagoland Dog Rescue, besides being a shelter-less rescue, is that we provide lifetime training for our adopted dogs.  To become a possible adopter, they must be 18 years of age or older and we reserve the right to restrict adoptions to those who live within a 50 mile radius of Schaumburg, IL.
