In an effort to raise money for classroom supplies, a group of special-needs students from Grissom High School in Huntsville, Alabama are making heart-shaped dog treats as part of a life skills class. Three hundred bags have been sold so far.
They are strengthening their math, science, reading and social studies skills for this project, which is being tackled during Career Readiness Month. The skills they are learning now can help them in future jobs.
The class will also be baking dog treats for Easter. To order for Valentine’s Day or Easter, please contact teacher Angela Whitener at [email protected].
