Watson, a Jack Russell Terrier from Buffalo Valley, Tenn., was chasing something that lured him into a wall of rocks near his home. Unfortunately, after the curious dog crawled into the wall, he got wedged in between rocks and was unable to come out.

His owners, Manny Edwards and his 15-year-old son Nick, tried to chip away part of the wall for some hours using hand tools, but unfortunately the day turned into night, and they had to leave their pet stranded in the wall over night.

Early the next morning, the family along some neighbors resumed their rescue mission. This time they came prepared with an industrial jack hammer to free the family pet.

After perforating part of the wall, Nick was able to crawl into the rocks and locate his four-legged friend. Watson’s chest and head were lodged between two rocks and Nick had to carefully turn his pet on its belly to free him from the rocks.

Once free, the pet was pulled and he was extremely happy to have been rescued by his owners. Watson was dirty, tired, and a bit dehydrated, but overall in good health.

The Edwards were ecstatic to have their little fur ball back home with them and safe.
