Aubree Sweeney, creator of Dog Treats and Jingle Toys has been inspired by her two rescue pets, Jake the dog and She-ÂRa the cat, to create a web-series, documentary style comedy, airing on YouTube. The videos are not only fun to watch, but they also shine a light on shelter pets in need of forever homes.
The story follows a young woman who has just adopted her first pet from a local shelter. Although she believes that she’s the one running the show, it’s her new fur-Âkid that’s guiding her and her friends as they attempt to get a handle on their love lives and careers.
Sweeney has partnered with the Nebraska Humane Society and on her weekly webpisodes, she highlights adoptable pets in need of forever homes.
“Our goal is not only to help these amazing shelter pets find their ‘FurEver Homes,’ but to raise awareness regarding adoption, fostering and volunteering across state lines, “said Sweeney.
