On August 2013, Dallas-based group of dog rescuers, Duck Team 6 (DT6), and Dallas Police joined forced to rescue a female dog from a trash bin.

A Good Samaritan walked near the trash container and heard whining, upon investigating, a female dog was discovered inside the bin. The canine is believed to have been used for breeding and her owners just discarded her like yesterday’s garbage in that bin.

The white, scared dog was waiting to be rescued or to be crushed with the rest of the garbage. Just hours away, a trash truck was schedule to pick up the bin’s garbage bags.

Fortunately, the Good Samaritan called police and officers contacted DT6 to have the pet rescued.

The female dog was pulled from the trash bin, named Pearl, and was taken to Dallas Animal Services. DT6 needed a registered animal rescue group to step in and save the pet.

Fortunately, Circle Star stepped in to save Pearl. She was renamed Aspen, was offered training, rehabilitation, and socialization classes, and after the organization showed her love, she was ready to find her forever home.

Lucky for Aspen, a family fell in love with her and she was adopted. Never again will this dog be tossed like garbage.

Congratulations Aspen for finding your forever home!
