Paralyzed Dog Who Refused to Give Up Finally Has a Home

“I am so happy and blessed to have Willow in my pack. She fits in perfectly…”

This comes from Speranza Animal Rescue:
Adoption Alert

Our gal Willow has found her forever home!!

This gal has quite the story. She was found four years ago crawling out of a ditch by the staff at a shelter, her hind legs dragging behind her.  She was then set to be euthanized at a kill shelter… luckily we found out about her and we took her in.

This sweet dog has no idea she is ‘different.’ When she runs and plays, her back legs don’t work like a normal dog’s – however I think this makes her extra special. It didn’t hold her back – she was always smiling and her tail constantly wagging..

It takes a special person to take on a dog like Willow – and her new mom – Caroline is that special person.

Congrats sweetheart! You SO deserve this!!

A fan of the group asked on their photo if Willow had any issues now, and Speranza replied:

“She has partial paralysis in her hind end. Her mom is going to try acupuncture and hydrotherapy with her. Willow seriously hit the jackpot!”

Adoptive mom Caroline responded to all of the well-wishers on the thread:

“Thanks to everyone for you congratulations. I am so happy and blessed to have Willow in my pack. She fits in perfectly with my pack. She loves her sofa and hanging out on the deck.”

  2. Can you get wheels for her ? I read they cost 150.00. Maybe you can find a dona-tor. I know the wheels will help her get around. Hugs,

  3. Dear Caroline,

You are truly the definition of of an Angel. Some people do not believe in Angels, but I do!

You see, there are Angels that people choose not to believe in. They choose not to see them or even choose to not believe in them.

Then there are are the Angels like you. Angels like you. Those who decided to give another Angel a second chance at life when no one else would even think twice.

Angels like you come in another’s world and you give those others your time, your dedication and most importantly your unconditional love.

Willow was brought to you because I believe that you are Willows Angel!

Without you, Willow would have crossed that Rainbow Bridge too soon.

Thank you Caroline for being Willows Angel.

I hope that you and Willow live happily ever after.

  4. God bless you for taking care and giving a loving home to Willow. I just want to hold and love on her. An animal person, they make such a difference in our lifes.

  5. i am happy for both of you, mom and Willow. I rescued a paralyzed girl as well. She is a happy confident active girl. She runs really fast on her wheels (we call it car).

  6. Why do most of your stories pertain to pit pulls and pit mixes. You obviously have an agenda and portray pits as harmless loving pets. By doing so people adopt troubled/abandonded pit bulls and pay for it with attacks and maulings of innocent kids and others. And they ALWAYS say “it was such a loving dog I don’t know why he killed/mauled that child. FUCK YOU and your PIT BULL AGENDA! I Dare you to to post this!

  7. Thank God she wasn’t in Maricopa County shelters. She wouldn’t have even been given an hour to live. Thank you for saving her and the shelter for not putting her down before that.

  8. God Bless you for taking her in only someone with a special heart and patients can care for a dog like this I know because I had one my loving Sakae was just like her.

  9. I believe this is among the such a lot important info for me. And i’m happy reading your article. However should statement on some general things, The website style is perfect, the articles is truly great : D. Just right job, cheers
