Caring for their disabled 3-year-old son has been a strain for the Mauss family, but now, thanks to 4 Paws for Ability, Deeds has a new companion in the form of an autism service dog named Magpie.

Last evening on FOX 13 News at Nine, Sandy Riesgraf met with the family of Deeds Mauss. Mauss suffers from autism, has epilepsy and brain damage, and cerebral palsy, but a new dog with highly specialized training is making life better – and easier – one wag at a time.
