Sit. Stay. Come. Does your dog know the basics? Do you consider your dog well trained? Maybe your dog needs a little refresher in manners? Maybe you just want to be more in tune with your dog’s behavior. You’re not alone. According to the 2012 American Pet Products Association’s survey over 18 million dollars was spent on training for dogs last year alone. The good news is the American Kennel Club recognizes the need for training to be made more available to dog lovers everywhere.

In August, the AKC announced a new service, the AKC GoodDog!SM Helpline. The service gives subscribers:

  • A toll-free number from 9 A.M. to 9 P.M. EST Monday – Friday and 12:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Saturdays
  • Knowledgeable trainers waiting to help you train your dog
  • Unlimited number of calls
  • All for a one-time fee of $79.99!

No longer will you need to wait for your training class, or wait for your trainer to come for your scheduled appointment, now you can pick up the phone right when you have a question and need an answer!

If you want to learn more about the AKC’s GoodDog! Helpline, join them during a Twitter chat hosted by @BlogPaws on September 10, 2013 from 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM EDT.
